Don't Be Afraid - You Are Not Alone

Sometimes the desire to become smoke free can be a scary thing. The thought of the unknown can cause fear. The following is from Wisdom from the Psalms , a daily devotional that I receive in my email. Sometimes the words for the day can apply to our efforts to Become and Ex:

Psalm 78:14 In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.

The chosen people were afraid. They had to cross a barren wasteland, a desert, with no provisions and not definite sense of where they would end up. The scorching sun frightened them. The dark, cold nights frightened them. They were a people afraid. But the Lord saw their fear, and He sent a cloud to block the scorching sun, and He placed a bright fireball in the sky at night to light their way. The people of God came through the desert safe and sound.

God brings us through the wastelands of our life's sin the same way. He will not allow us to be tested beyond our strength and endurance. Trust in God's mercy and love, and He will bring you through any situation.

Prayer: Lord, I am sometimes frightened by the challenges I am called on to face. Be with me, and let me lean upon Your strength for support. Amen.

I need help I have relapsed. I am so surprised on how it sneaked up on me!!!! I was smoke free for over a month and was feeling okay about it by then. but then my dad hurt my feekings with an insensitive remark and cruel perception of things but i should know this is my dad by now and i became self destructive with the felings and had a cigarette that was in my car and then i bought a pack. i loved being smoke free I would like to begin again right here and right now and just stop buying and smoking them jsut like that . I think I cAn if I had support the other problem is i have trouble connecting on the site. i think maybe now i got it. that i go to the right hand corner for replys, see i write and then i get an e-mail saying i8 need to approve of what i sent and that confusess me. well i pray g-d will lead the way and give me trhe strength to figure it all out and let it go and quit. thanx ronnie. i love doreen's site thank you
