I have quit smoking so many times I lost count! I can't seem to sustain quitting - after a few good months, I start to lose my willpower. Does anyone have tips on staying quit??
Hey Jenmill. Follow the plan. If you haven't got a plan, get one! The EX plan seems to work for most everyone here. I'm 56 day's smoke free and use this plan as well as small pieces of dark chocolate, ice, carrots and animal crackers. They all work for those unbearable craves. Let me know if I can help.
aloha, yes I was able to quit again. the second detox after being clean for 6 years was soooooo hard to get past. but I did it and have been clean this sept. going on my 8th year. the thing the relaspe taught me besides one or two smokes can get me way hooked again...is never to take my hard work quitting for granted. it is something to be protected and cherished. everyday you don't smoke is precious. the farther away you get the better it is. I never ever even think about them anymore. get detoxed and then get some time under your belt again, then remember to put yourself first anytime you think about going back to it. be selfish and determined. soon it is easy. we have to change our minds and not give into junkie thinking. when ever you feel like you might smoke agin. go get busy doing something you like for YOU. make you and a healthy life important. you do not want to carry this addiction into your 30's and 40's or longer. you can do it I know you can warmest aloha call on me anytime
