About Me:
I quit smoking 15 years ago after smoking 2 plus packs a day for over 20 years. It was extremely hard but I did it and quit for 6 years. I forgot how hard it was to get them out of your system and one night while out drinking I thought I could have one. I was hooked again and smoked for another two years before I got the courage to quit again. That was in 2000 and I was able to put it behind me for good. The relapse taught me to ALWAYS value your quit and to protect it. I know if I can quit you will be able to quit too. keep trying it is doable.

we never think it can happen to us...

but it does happen to someone my sister's daughter in law was diagnosed about 6 months ago with small cell lung cancer. She has been doing chemo and radiation trying to fight it ever sense. last night my sister called and said she is in the hospital, lately she has had a terrible time swallowing as the tumors have spread to her throat and the radiation just burns the crap out of it. the doctors said they will do one more round of radiation as it was already planned, but other than that there wa… Continue

I do not leave this site because someone has "won" and got me to leave because of their hatred and stupidity. People like that have no effect on me other than pure comic relief.

I left a few weeks ago because so many of us myself included, were all totally ignored by the administration for months and months when we complained in mass. I left because we were subjected to censorship by way of the admins deletions of our groups, our blog

It's been a long time since I've been on this site and I want to thank you for your support. I did start smoking again last summer...but I quit forever {for real!} three months ago. This time I went cold turkey and that was what I needed. I no longer crave cigarettes and rarely ever think about them. I am now a non-smoker, rather than someone who's quitting smoking. The patches were the wrong thing for me. Every time I tried quitting with them it was torture. They helped me to quit, but with that nicotine in my system I still wanted to smoke everyday. I would last two to three months on the patches and always go back to smoking. It was more than I could bare.
I got so fed up trying to quit again with the patch, that the second day on it I ripped it off and said hell with it, I'm going cold turkey and it wasn't near as hrd as I thought it would be. If I could do it there's hope for everyone out there trying.
