Another smoke free day!!

Still smoke free. Definitely packing on the pounds but I normally do this time of year anyway. I think once I get a handle on my Quit, I'll be able to work on my weight more successfully. I am a work in progress. We all are. There really is no finished product or end result. We're constantly improving ourselves. 44 days. What a miracle. Thank you Lord Jesus. My strength. My Rock.

This is a true milestone. I am so happy to be smoke free for 40 days! I am almost where I was before my last screw up around the 4th of July. I had reached 50 days and thought I would try to sneak a cigarette here and there. Probably out of boredom. I've been thinking of cigarettes here lately and I have gained a few pounds...but I keep telling myself it's just a temporary problem. Thanks to all the support I received from my Become and Ex friends. Weekends are the worst for me. But, it was so helpful for me to look at my page and see all the comments to my post, read other people's posts, and know that I am not alone in this fight. Plus, I kept reminding myself - I DON'T WANT ANOTHER QUIT DATE. I DON'T WANT TO START OVER AGAIN!!! I am so happy today because it's Monday, I'm still smoke free, and I am feeling great! Well, Thank God it's Friday. It's been a long week with the lessening daylight hours. It makes the days seem short but then we're so tired!!! I keep sleeping later and later! Weekends are super hard for me. I get bored, need something to do with my hands and mouth. Knitting is really hard but I think one day I will get better at it. I just have to keep distracting my self. I can do it. I will survive this weekend.

I have had some cravings lately. It's all mental I know. I just tell myself when I have a craving that I don't want a new Quit Date. I already quit. It does help. It keeps bugging me that I went more than 50 days and went back to smoking. I'm not even half way there yet. No, I don't want to start a new Quit date ever again. I'm happy with September 20, 2009.
