I've never been one to get sick often. In fact, it used to be years and years between the times I would get sick. But here I find myself sick again this September, one year after the last time I was sick. The good thing about being sick this time around is that I can vividly recall how smoking made my symptoms a lot worse last year!
I have a really, really sore throat and a nasty cough. Oh how well I remember smoking anyway last year despite how much it hurt my throat, even though it m…

Well, for starters...........Hurricane Ike passed right by us. Since we are so far inland, I'm not sure if it would still be considered a hurricane. But I do live in a tornado prone area of Texas. For several months now I've had my eye on the pharmacist where I get my meds. He helped me out a lot a few months ago filling out some paper work for a medication that I take. Every time I would see him, seemed anxious to get on with whatever he was doing. I'm sure he could smell the reeking odor of cigarettes on me! Today I ran into him in the aisle at the grocery store. When I saw him, I smiled and said hello. He saw me smiled to say hello and asked me how I was doing and moved to quickly g…
