About Me:
I just completed a 48 week course of treatment for Hep C.
I lost 100 pounds. I will be 60 next month. These are but just a very few of the reasons I am on this website.

Shannon, I went too did 48 weeks of treatment. That was 2 years ago and I'm still clear! next checkup is March. I lost about 50 lbs during treatment, had to continue working, it sucked. But it saved my life. I seldom want a drink anymore so I figured I wouldn't have that problem to cause me to slip on this quit. Quit date is Jan 11.

Shannon....I am VERY happy for you that you were successful on your 48 week treatment for HepC. These treatments can be very hard on the system; and I am most happy that you stuck with it, and hope you are feeling better. I also congratulate you on your decision to quit smoking.
As for the "tail-end" of a discussion that you came upon, at BessK's page...I assure you I am not "mean".....nor am I dishonest....HA - far from it.
Some people cannot fathom any truth other than that which they know....hence my comment about "big planet - small minds" !!!!

A few links you may want to check out, for your own knowledge.....what the pharmecutical companies are doing for the sake of money is criminal. I do not blame the doctors, as they are repeating what they are told....but there are thousands of us taking a stand...and the actual truth is spreading. NOT MY truth...I do not profess to be an expert....never did !!! It's just THE truth !!!

Welcome to the group. Good luck to you. I'm 62 but since I quit (11 days ago) I feel 50. I do a lot less huffing and puffing lol. Don't allow yourself to get discouraged. It took me 6 weeks to finally stick to a quit date.

Good for u on the completion of the 48 week plan. been there done that. I lost about 40 lbs but most of it came back uggg.. nice post on bess K Page, I agree

I'm 60 and also react with YIKES! But I have one week of quit under my belt and honest to God, already feel younger (I can breathe!) This site is a great tool and Now is a great time. Sending you energy!
