Richie - good strategy on riding your bike. I rode over 1000 miles last summer with friends who don't smoke and it is brutally difficult to keep up with them. I'm looking forward to riding much more efficient this next season.

Thanks for the comment. I recently had the urg to smoke, because I went through somethin stressful. I went and got a pack of sunflower seeds and it helped.

What is funny is I have been still trying to quit since my quit date in October and I have not succeded. I am giong to try again this coming weekend being as I have four days off work. I am going to stop trying tobe strong and do it cold turkey. This time around I am giong to use the patch. I will check out the obama site that you left on my page. I pray for you that you stay strong. We all know it is no good for us to be smoking. Also thank you for commenting on my page.

Hello Richie! I'm just north of you in Everett! Welcome to this site. You are definitely in the right place because you don't have to do this alone and you no longer have to let smoking control every aspect of your life. You have alot more strength than you realize and you can be successful at your quit. We're all here for the same reason and there is lots of support here. You don't have to like quitting, just get through it the best you can. I'm glad that you're here! You are welcome to check out the newest group called "Yes, You Can." Get involved in discussions and group and you'll get tons of support to help you get through your cravings. My suggestion is to procrastinate. Put off lighting up till the craving goes away. Every time you get through a craving, you get stronger and the cravings get weaker until they eventually go away.
