Hi Manda,

I'm on TWO cigarettes today, as well...... We are super stars! (It's not easy being a super star.)

I'm sure you have a very busy and interesting job. My oldest daughter was a financial analyst for a civil engineering firm here in MA for several years. She had some interesting stories to tell about the engineers and the work that they did. Most of it was for the government.

She lived with her boyfriend for several years. They also bought a house. A few years ago it seemed the right time to marry. They're both in thier 40's and won't be having children but are the BEST aunt and uncle ever..... It works for them.

Where in Florida are you living? You've moved around a lot and given up some important plans for this guy. You sound very happy with him so he must be pretty special. That's way more important than a wedding ring.

I have a few new tips that may help you through this tough time. I read that eating lots of fruit is very helpful. I like fruit but not in large quantities. I found that V8 has a new drink out called V-fusion. It's a combination of fruit and vegetables. I bought the Pomegranate and Blueberry. Eight ounces is a full serving of fruit and a full serving of vegetables. It also taste great!

Someone also suggested keeping a tube of lip balm handy. It feels like a cigarette and you can keep your hands busy when you get nudgy. I've been trying this and it works!

I'm off to do a computer project for my nursing home work. It will involve writing reports on the progress on some individuals who were having problems. I work for a Federally funded agency. They need reports on everything! I will want to smoke. I won't smoke!!

Thank you for being such a great quit buddy!

I imagine that timing will be the key in getting into a profession that you really love. It will happen when you least expect it. Life is always full of surprises.

We both need to give ourselves pats on the back for our grand total of 11 cigarettes! One more than half a pack, but its better than us smoking a half a pack on our own! Yea Us! It does feel great.

Its almost ten here, and in my mind that means smoke time. I am chomping on gum like crazy. My teeth might just fall out of my head. I love your brush your teeth idea, I thought of it last night while doing my nightly brushing. I always hate to smoke right after I brush, and I thought I should brush whenever I feel the need. Great Minds think alike.

Okay, Work got busy and I bet my need for my 10:00 smoke. Speaking of work, I am an office manager for an Civil Engineering Firm. I like it, my boss is great. I always saw myself as a kindergarten teacher, but I guess life saw me differently. I have about three years left in school, but we haven't stayed in one place long enough for me to finish. I still have time, and I will go back. If not for teaching, for photography. I was not made to be couped up in an office all day long.

We have moved around quite a bit since we started dating. After dating for two years, my boyfriend's school moved us to Utah (for two years), then he got a job and had to travel for a year, which moved me back in with my parents for a year, then they finally placed him in Florida, so we have been here for a year, we just bought a house about two months ago. I choose the house over the ring, because to me we are practically married, and I didn't need a piece of paper to tell me that he was my my soul mate.

I am one of two, I have one older sister, shes four years older, but we are very close. I talk to my mom and sister daily. I miss them dearly, but I know they will always be here when I need them. I visit as often as possible. My mom hasn't ever flown by herself so she is working up the courage to learn how to do it so she can come see me more often.

The boyfriend is the best thing that has ever happened to my life. He is worth ever move we ever made. I really stumbled onto someone special.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I am sure it was extremely hard thing to experience, and I wish you the best on the days that are hard. My mother was a twin, her twin was very much like a second mother to my sister and I. She passed away in 2002. We all still have hard days, my mom worse than anyone, but she passed at 47 so I know how it is to loose someone at that age. My life have been filled with loss, it bothered me for a long time that at such a young age, I understood such a thing that most people my age hadn't experienced. Now I think that God choose me to know so many people with short lives, because he knew not only did I have the strength to handle the loss, but someday I would need each and everyone to give me the strength to live each day away from my mother.

As I write it is not turning 11:30. I'm not a slow typer, just had many interruptions along the way of my response. So thirty mins till lunch and another trigger to shoot in the foot. HA HA. Hope I make it.

PS. I'm on Two! Hope to keep it at five or less! - Lets try for another half a pack again today! Hopefully we can do it!

I finnished my day with five yesterday. I am so proud yet a bit shocked. Didn't realize I would be able to cut my smoking down so quickly. Like you its the mornings that get me, it was almost one after the other before I left the house. No one at work smokes anymore, so I always felt guilty going out for a break, so I tried to get it all out before leaving for work. So yesterday I only allowed myself ONE morning smoke, and one when I got to the office. Around ten I thought I was going to break, go outside and smoke two packs or something, but I didn't I did OKAY. It was hard.

Boys Boys Boys.... Girls too, its just that teenage years that will drive you crazy. I have cousins around that age, and they don't want to listen to anything anyone says. Talk about drive you to a smoke, or a case of beer. HA HA.

We only have one grand-child in my family at the moment. My niece, shes two going on 18 trying to potty train. Shes a hard headed little girl I tell you! Shes the one in the picture with me on my page. I need to add more but I haven't had the time. She lives back in Louisiana with my family, and I live in Florida with my boyfriend of 6 years. (Yes I know we so should be married by now). Shes my heart, and the reason I stay homesick which is why its SO hard for me to quit, because there is always the constant want to go home and be with my family, but I know my life has led me here for a reason, I just got to wait to find out why.

Well before I bore you to death with my life, I guess I will let you go. Its time for my first smoke of the day, thats why I was rambling to you, I was trying to get passed my trigger time which I did! Yea! So if you need to get past a Trigger write me a story! HA HA.

Have a WONDERFUL day! Good Luck!

Hi! Sorry it took me so long to reply. I haven't been on the computer much. So far so good. I really enjoy this program and I have found it very helpful. Just tracking my smokes have made me realize that I have to get past this. I believe you are a strong woman like me, and I will be here to chat and help you accomplish what needs to be done. This weekend I watched the bucket list, and it helped me realize that it is not worth smoking because I get more from my family and friends than I do from a smoke. Keep in touch! Today I have only had three. I hope to keep my smokes to four and under and slowly do away with it all together. The morning ones are the worst for me. Okay I'm rambling. I have work to do, but message me when you can. We'll be quit buddies!
