About Me:
Well, as of today (7/28/08)- 35 years a smoker, 2 months + a non smoker. Much harder to quit than to start. With the help of my family, friends and all of the support from my new friends here, I am doing it! To all of you new-comers, welcome & you have come to the right place. To all of you who are here simply to help, Thank you! And....everybody else, thanks for sharing your experiences and being there when we need you. Good luck to us all!!!

Today, I had a comment from Nancy about changing her soil for her flowers. I can't imagine! I have good soil for my flowers. I didn't even know that I should appreciate it! Thanks Nancy! I have been thinking a lot lately about how lucky I am. The things I seem to take for granted are almost shameful! I decided to like my body. It has serviced me well for 51 years. I'm so glad to hear from you....I'm doing fine..I'm still not smoking and for exactly the reason you mentioned, I just can't quit ever again....you know I quit so many times but this time I was just ready and it was so different...you will know when it's time and then you will quit for the last time...
Do me a favor when you get ready let me know...I'll be here to help if I can...I don't spend much time on this site anymore but do check in so keep in touch...

How nice of you. I am not doing as well as I need to at all. I was so proud of myself but I am definitely off track. I am smoking about a pack a week. I know it isn't a lot but it is only going to lead to more. I keep telling myself that it won't and that this is the last pack etc., but haven't done it yet! Habit has gone from 1 a day to 2 a day and then maybe here and there. UGH!!!! Thanks for the reminder that you're here for me.
I really needed that & appreciate it SO MUCH!

Hey Lynn, I'm so glad to hear from you...You know what? If I honestly thought I could only smoke 1 cigarette a day I would do it, but I know I can't That's where I went wrong all those other times I quit......I just worry that your 1 will become more and you will have to go through this whole quit thing again...

I'm doing ok Lynn, just at 101 days, longer than ever before for me...it's still a struggle at times, maybe it always will be. I have to get going to work, but keep in touch, and hang in there, you really are doing good...you'll say goodbye to that one when you are ready....I'm always here if I can help you
