Hello Linda! Welcome to this site. We know what you're going through because we've been there or are going through it now. You don't have to go through this alone. Get involved in the discussions and groups and you'll get lots of support and encouragement. Check out the group "Yes You Can." You'll not only get alot of help here, you'll be helping others because there is alot of power in numbers. Being scared is totally normal and we've all been there. But working your way through the thorns to get to the roses is so worth it and you can do it.

Hello Linda and Welcome!
I'm so glad that you decided to join our community where you will meet many new friends. There are many here including myself, that are willing to offer you support, encouragement and suggestions along your journey. Read all you can about your addiction as the knowledge of it will help you to succeed in your quit. Start by going to www.becomeanex.org and follow the steps to plan for your quit. Read the blogs, individual stories and group discussions. I will also suggest that you go to www.whyquit.com where you can learn about your addictive behaviors. www.meditainment.com is a great site to learn meditation in about 10 minutes which will help you relax and focus during the quitting process. There have been many here who have quit and tried again, like you, but if you believe you can do this....YOU WILL! Also, get determined....that this is what you really want and will do anything to do it! You are being challenged by the Nicodemon....don't let it win! Take your Power back. Take the ride, along with the rest of us, that will change your life! I want to CONGRATULATE you on taking the first step towards a beautiful, smoke free life!

Thanks, Linda, I wish you well and just remember that you have all this support here to use if you want it! You're not quitting forever just for the moment! For me, I just need to keep in mind that I am not alone in this and others have done it before me and survived....
