I've been trying to quit smoking on and off for over two years now. I made it four months about a year ago. It's obvious I can't do it alone. That's why I'm here.

Hi Lanny! I would like to extend a warm welcome to you. This is a big decision you have made and a life-changing one too. You won't find any miracle cure here, but you'll meet alot of people here who are miracles, including me, and you too! I was so scared when I quit and had big doubts that I could because this was my fourth try. This is the longest I've gone without a smoke since I started smoking when I was 15. I'm 53 now and I haven't smoked since July 17, 2004. I am no longer a hostage of my addiction. You don't have to go through your quit alone. You are welcome to check out the group, "Yes You Can." It's a great place to socialize with other people trying to quit and who have already quit.
