Trust me honey, I completely understand. Just know you are not crazy. You are doing something FANTASTIC for yourself and your loved ones. Trust in that and in yourself and know that YOU ROCK!!!
For the hard craves, try getting a mug of hot tea and breathing in the steam. It works WONDERS!
Krista,
I saw your comment on Moms Who Want To Quit, and it looked like you were in need of a friendly helping hand.
Talk to your doctor. Oddly enough, the Chantix itself can cause the irritability you are experiencing. I was on it for a while and found I was less irritable without it then with it.
So, just keep taking those deep breaths, find an activity that calms you, and don't give up! We can all do this!
Hello Krista and welcome to BecomeanEx.org! This is the BEST stop-smoking website! I'm 54 and this is my 4th attempt at quitting smoking, and I haven't found it necessary to smoke since July 17, 2004. Quitting is scary, but it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's a lifestyle change, and also a newfound freedom and feeling of contentment I could never imagine before. You may hate the beginning of your quit, but deal with it the best you can. You won't have to go through it alone because you have us now.
Krista I had the same problem with Chantix. I had tried it before and been successful, however I was on anti deppressants at that time. I tried it again recently but I was not on anti depresssants. I got very depressed and irratable. I had other side effects as well. Don't give up Krista just talk to your Doctor. Stay in touch
