I think it's wonderful that you posted a blog about Chantix. Posting your thoughts gives you an opportunity to get great feedback and different ideas. Staying involved with this website is a big help to your quit. I stay involved to express my gratitude for being freed of such a nasty addiction and to try to help others. I also get support from dealing with life after smoking! I never tried Chantix, but I'm in full support of it helping others and yourself with your quit. I did the lozenges. The only method I DON'T support is the e-cigarette.
Hi Joanne...thanks for sharing about your Chantix experience. I'm on day 7 (starter pack) but won't be quitting until Friday. I've cut back to about 10 a day, but it's been pretty tough after going through 1 1/2 packs for several years. I'm still waiting to feel that "disinterested" sensation that others say they have. Sigh. I have been told many times in my life that I have amazing strength, but this is really going to put me to the test. I'm glad to have found this web site, as it's really helped me emotionally to read about others at diffferent stages of quit and how they're dealing with things. No doubt I was directed to this site for a reason.
Hello Joanne! Welcome to Become an Ex.org! This is the BEST stop-smoking website! I'm 54 and this is my 4th attempt at quitting smoking, and I haven't found it necessary to smoke since July 17, 2004. Quitting is scary, but it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's a lifestyle change, and also a newfound freedom and feeling of contentment I could never imagine before. You may hate the beginning of your quit, but deal with it the best you can. You won't have to go through it alone because you have us now.
