If I can quit, I can do anything

My 54 smoke free day run is going as expected. Mostly good days but some bad days. When the bad day's come they are no fun. I think the biggest thing for me now is America's economy. My company for almost 30 years pride themselfs on being debt free and never in company history ever laying anyone off. Like alot of companies now a day's my company had to come to grips with that idea. A pack of smokes in Chicago is almost $6 and a shorter life. A case of water $3 - $5 and a longer life. NO BRAINER

How time fly's. I hope everyone that has joined and planed to quit smoking for new years to stay strong and live long. If the cravings come on strong, try to stay active and remember the reasons why you are quitting, drink lots of water and help others who have the same new years goals as you.

It's official! My quit date has come and gone and I feel pretty good about it. I have had a half a pack of smokes in my car for the last 22 day's just in case but just in case didn't come and now that my quit date is here I can dispose of them. I still have cravings but I try think about somthing else and staying active. I tell myself I'm in a better place now that I don't smoke. Today was great. I joined the gym and ran two miles for the first time in a long time. I don't think I would have felt so good after my run if I smoked for the last 16 days but my chest wasn't hurting or nothing. My goal is to see how far I can go, hopefully I can make it up to 5 to 10 miles by the summer. Living smoke free is awesome.
