About Me:
On June 26th, I will be celebrating my four year quit anniversary. This also marks the anniversary of my heart attack. Strange how these things work out, isn't it? Evidently I'm not one to take subtle hints. I need hit over the head with a two by four!
I was not a model patient in the hospital, either. Even after the cardiologists told me that my smoking was the only reason for causing my heart attack. I was an addict that needed their next fix. Within hours, I was telling anyone who would listen that I was fine and should just go home. I told my wife, who was out of town at the time, don't leave Nashville and come to the hospital, that it was no big deal and I was sure they would be letting me out at any minute. This is when my male nurse kind of took me to the side and read me the riot act. I ended up being in intensive care for 2 days and I know if I had been a good boy they would have kept me for three. (Sorry Erie, Pa.'s Hamot Hospital nurses! I'm a butthead!) I was then in a general population room for another day where I had to explain to my kids over the phone that everything was going to be okay, even though I wasn't that convinced of it. Let's just say there were tears, okay? I still couldn't wait to get out of the place and have a smoke. On that third day, I was released and when I arrived home discovered that my wife had thrown out every lighter, ashtray and cigarette. (Even the crappy Chinese ones her nephew had given me as a gift.). Being that it was illegal for me to drive and I was as weak as a kitten, so I couldn't walk to the store, I made it through day four. I slowly came to my senses and decided smoking was not going to be a part of my future. It couldn't be if I wanted to live and see my kids grow up.

Throughout my quit, there were so many people that encouraged and inspired me, that I feel it is my duty to "pay it forward". If I can help even one person, in some small way, then this will have been all worth it. I would just like to add that I am fine now, exercise daily and try to live a healthy lifestyle.

Grand Reopening!

I thought about saying, back by popular demand, but I think I will settle for at least being conspicuous by my absence! I think I just needed a couple weeks to regroup. So I took a couple of weeks just to jet set, globe hop and cavort with supermodels. Now I like cavorting with supermodels as much as the next guy, but I usually do that on Tuesday afternoons anyways. I missed all the excitement and drama of Becomeanex and wanted to hop back on this emotional roller coaster again. And most of all,… Continue

Hi Jeff! 600 Trick or Treaters??!!! That is totally crazy!!! Our number was way down this year -- had about 20. Virtually no little wee ones out this year - the flu scare as I mentioned was the front newspaper headline this Saturday! Even in our best times I've never heard of anyone going over about 150 kids. Where on earth did you get 600 from??!! If you get the chance this might be a good year to get your flu shots!! I got both the seasonal one and the H1N1 this year. Have just had good luck with them in the past & I see alot of people with work. Have a great week!!

Don't know..

It wasn't anybody around here who thought they were going to win.
It's amazing how well you can do when you quit droppiing passes and fumbling the football.
I'm still mad at them. It's up to them to change my mind.
