I quit finally! Day 26 and counting

Im so proud of myself and i feel so great. I used a nicotine patch and did a program to help with my triggers. Unbelievable. Everyone is shocked by my progress, but its true. Thank God!

what if i smoke pot? I am addicted to nicotine and marijuana. I havent officially quit smoking and i am not getting any younger. its trashy and embarassing that when driving with a close family member. that amount of time is so hard that i smoke just cuz im alone for a minute.

Hello Gayle! Welcome to this site. I smoked off and on for 35 years and I've been a non-smoker for over four years now. This is my fourth time quitting. My last quit lasted 19 months and it took me 30 years to quit again. I don't cough anymore. Ever. Except when I laugh too much. My granddaughters have never seen me smoke. You don't have to go through this alone because there's lots of people here that are more than willing to help you. Stick with the winners in here; the ones who are taking this seriously and not smoking anything else as a substitute. You no longer have to let smoking control your life.
