well, it's not a total bust. i'm staying steadfast in recording every cigarette. but i've only got a few weeks of Chantix to go and i couldn't get down below 4 a day this past weekend. tried. tried. tried. it was some real withdrawal urges that made me do it. i just couldn't keep busy enough or motivate enough or eat enough. I know a lot of you just quit the way that people said you should. But I knew that I wouldn't be able to just quit, and especially not for good, unless I took many small steps forward. So I'm celebrating today all the small steps that have stuck.
1 - I don't grab a smoke when I first get up and usually (!!!) not for a couple of hours, till after I've eaten. It's usually when I start something complicated that I get one.
