I AM now FOREVER the NON SMOKER!

Profile Information

About Me:
No fancy web page here, just the facts.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute or a day or an hour or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take it's place. If however, I quit, it will last forever. YOU CAN QUIT! YOU CAN DO IT! NEVER GIVE UP AND NEVER GIVE IN! REFUSE TO LOSE! FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE PEOPLE>There is nothing to fear but fear itself. YOU CAN DO THIS! The deadly list is at the bottom of this, so please read the whole page.http://www.whyquit.com/joel/#book << that may help you.
I am an 47 year old athlete. I have a permanently ruptured bicep, NO rotator cuff, removed bicep tendon and Pars Syndrome ( a fracture in my back). I was told I would be disabled. This is the truth folks. Now let me tell you, if I chose to be disabled, I would be. I lost a few little things. I can't open a can with a can opener. I can't get my cell phone off my right side. The little things we take for granted every day. I can do 30 pushups after running three miles! Point? If I choose to believe that I am disabled, I am. Point? If I choose to believe I am a smoker because it's "too hard to quit", I am a smoker! Guess what I am a NON SMOKER FOREVER! I realized this morning when about to walk out the door, I had gone to the bathroom FIRST, had coffee second, and not thought about smoking! I didn't even use the peppermint oil! I am so proud of me. I am so proud of you! Hang in there! I have struggled with smoking for 33 years. How can you be an athlete and smoke? I don't know. I still won the races. My lungs ached. I wheezed. I used the inhaler. I still won but it was so hard. I want to win and not smoke! I want the BIG trophy. I want to beat that woman who crushes me every year.I am free forever, as of April11th. This is the day of my rebirth! It hasn't been that hard, until I smelled that black and mild today. I rode my bicycle 35 miles! I smelled that black and mild that fellow who is killing himself every puff, was smoking. Every puff is one puff closer to cancer, one puff closer to a horrible death. I am thinking about smoking...but I WON'T I am a NON SMOKER. I am not an ex smoker, who always thinks about that cigarette I wish I had. I am not a smoker, who always thinks about that cigarette I am about to have. I AM! A NON SMOKER! If no one ever said "It's hard to quit smoking." and they always said "It's easy to quit smoking.", would it be hard to quit smoking? Remember when you first started? It WAS and IS HARD TO SMOKE! The dizziness, the cough, the pain in the lungs. TAP YOUR CHEST HARD when you get that feeling. It helps. You need water with fresh squeezed lemon juice to help detox you from the toxic chemicals you have been inhaling hundreds of times a day. Your body NEEDS vitamin c. If C bothers your stomach take ester c. You need calcium with d. It aids in not gaining weight. It also helps with pain. The pain in your chest from qutting will not be as bad. Peppermint oil from the herbal store, Deep breaths, walk, jog, run, go on the trails, go to the gym, take a class at the gym, do weights, take up bicycling, buy a juicer and drink to live~!. BREATH! DEEP BREATHS! We are only use to breathing chemicals, NOT oxygen. BREATH AIR! REMEMBER YOUR CHILDREN!!! YOU ARE A NON SMOKER PEOPLE>WE ALL ARE. WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO SMOKE! DO NOT BE BRAINWASHED ANY LONGER! IT IS HARD TO SMOKE, COUGH, WHEEZE AND DIE OF CANCER!The feeling you feel in your stomache is NOT hunger. It is a withdrawal pang! TAP TAP TAP your chest, down to your stomache. KEEP TAPPING. It is really only there physiologically, for 48 hours. After that 48 hours, it's a mindset and breaking the habit. It takes 21 days to make a habit, and 21 days to break it! BREAK THE HABIT! Eat veggies, buy a juicer, drink organic (only organic, the other has pesticides in it/bug killer!) juice, no pork NONE ( your body does not manufacture the 32 enzymes it takes to kill the parasites), very little servings of red meat, chew 25 times each bite, Eat fish, the omega's help with withdrawal. NOT fried fish, no fried foods or mayo. These are just a few things to help you NOT gain weight. I was asked , so there you go. I will add more, when I can stop LIVING at the gym! Lol It's 47days now. I have worked out so much that my clothes even fit BETTER! ; D You can do it!!!!!! YES YOU CAN DO IT!! REPEAT after me...I am a non smoker, I can do this. I will not be a loser. I will win this fight. I am a non smoker. Say this when you first wake up. Also, CHANGE the morning routine. If you went for the cigarette, then the coffee, then the bathroom, go to the bathroom, drink cold green tea citrus flavor then read this page! JUST DO IT! Swoosh! ; D

While these ingredients are approved as additives for foods, they were not tested by burning them, and it is the burning of many of these substances which changes their properties, often for the worse. Over 4000 chemical compounds are created by burning a cigarette, many of which are toxic and/or carcinogenic. Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide CYANIDE! YES CYANIDE! POISON POISON!!!!! and ammonia<<< YOU CAN BLEACH YOUR CLOTHES WITH THAT! IT KILLS MOLD! >>>> are all present in cigarette smoke. Forty-three YES ~~~43~~~known carcinogens (CANCER CAUSING AGENTS) are in mainstream smoke, sidestream smoke, or both. Look at the cancer patients. God it is so horrible! So excrutiating. If you think it's hard to quit smoking, think how hard it will be to wish you had quit, when the flesh is eaten off of your bones by cancer.

It's chilling to think about not only how smokers poison themselves, but what others are exposed to by breathing in the secondhand smoke. The next time you're missing your old buddy, the cigarette, take a good long look at this list and see them for what they are: a delivery system for toxic chemicals and carcinogens.

Cigarettes offer people only a multitude of smoking-related diseases and ultimately death.

1Corinthians 10:12 Everyone, no matter how firmly he thinks he is standing, must be careful not to fall. 10:13 None of the trials which have come upon you, is more than a human being can stand. You can trust that God will not let you be put to the test beyond your strength but with any trial, will provide you a way out by enabling you to put up with it.
I AM STILL NOT SMOKING. MAY 22, 2009. IT IS MY BIRTHDAY ON THE 24th. MY BACKS GOOD. I DID CRASH MY BIKE LAST WEEKEND. DUH! I AM OK THOUGH. A LITTLE BANGED UP. My Ex Boyfriend is back. Too weird! LOVE YA'LL! HANG IN THERE YOU ARE A NON SMOKER! D IT'S 47 DAYS NOW! YES, I ROCK AND SO DO YOU! Never give up, never give in, livre life to it's fullest, look back with no regrets.
Location:
Home/ the gym, the road, the trails, crowder mountain, run, bike, weights, cardio classes, keep the mindset on quitting!
I got a Breville juicer! Yay! Better the money on that than on cigarettes. I had the jack lalane juicer. It cost over $100.00. I know that sounds nuts, but people spend hundreds on cigs and never think about it. The breville is a nicer juicer. The cleanup is a cinch and it makes a lot of great juice from a little quantity of veggies and fruit. I had those cheap juicers. They stink and you won't stick with juicing. I wish I could make all of you some juice from scratch. Maybe some of you will make that purchase. It is steep for the Breville, at nearly 200.00 but you can get them on Ebay for $100.00 It will help you not gain weight while supplying your body with necessary nutrients and minerals. You can get those necessary 9 servings of fruits and veggies daily, in one glass of juice! After you make your own, all those prepackaged juices are grotesque. Well. except for simply orange. I do like that but prefer the homemake Breville juice. Here's a hint, if you read the labels and the ingredients look like foreign words, it isn't good for you. That goes for all prepackaged foods and drinks! Even though I lost 18 pounds in fourteen days by being sick, I have put 12 of it back! I sure didn't need to be a twig! Juice was one of the few things I could tolerate when being so ill.

Still smoke free.

My life is changing for the better every day. Honestly, getting sick helped me to quit. I was already doing great, but getting sick defintiely helped. When you can't walk to the restroom for weeks without nearly passing out, smoking isn't one of your main thoughts. I also did the chantix. That helped too!

Getting better

Even though I have pnuemonia and mono, I am getting better. I did get rearended the other day, but I am okay. My car feels crappy though! I went for two bicycle rides this week. I rode 40 miles, in four hours and 22.8 miles in two hours. I felt like crap after the 40 miler. I felt great while riding, but must have forgotten that I haven't done a thing for nearly six weeks and I am OUT OF SHAPE. Phew. Let me tell ya'll, that was tough. What a thrill to be back on my bicycle. I hope to be running… Continue

Thanks for the input. You're absolutely right - nothing ventured, nothing gained. When I get the chance I'll give some of your suggestions a go.

Take care.

Well, that's quite a compliment, Suesan, coming from such a perfect gal as yourself. I see you've been quit for a little over 3 months! You're doing just awesome, especially since you couldn't get out and run, ride, etc.! You didn't say how old you are...not that it matters, but you must be pretty young to still be able to run. My older bones just won't take that.
