So we've been using the nicoderm step 1 patches for 2 weeks...Frankly, neither of us have really been having cravings. So here I go with the bright ideas. Gone by smooth...Right now, I'm a little aggravated, though...it's not bad. I can live with it. My patch came off around 4 this afternoon...it's been nearly 7 hours since then, but I'm ok. Well...it's been a week. I have nothing really extravagant to say, it seems...All I wanna do is rant about how terrible I feel today and how sick I really am...and how I can't even afford medical coverage to help take care of myself the right way. So it's been 4 days. I'm quite happy. Still no real issues. I guess it's actually going to be easier this time. I did have one little fit yesterday, but it was short-lived and I was happy again. I've been using the nicotine patches religiously. And I've managed to keep some nice minty gum on me at all times too. when I would normally go have a cigarette, I put a piece of gum in my mouth (i.e. after eating, when getting in the car, slow time at work, etc.)...Stride is tasty. If I remember right, the first time I quit, I was pulling my hair out for about 5 days before I calmed down. I've just gone through my second day and surprisingly, I'm not having a single problem not smoking. Hardly any cravings and an amazing amount of self-control. I do feel sarcastic and I'm very easy to anger...I don't know...Maybe it would be harder if I took the patch off? I think I'm going to be ok after all...
