Keep trying as long as it takes; as may tries as it takes. Don't give up! This is, at a minimum, my third quit attempt. My friends all mess with me and say "what is this the fiftieth try"and no one thinks I'll follow through, but I will. Just don't give up. Be persistent and don't let this addiction control you any longer. You can beat it. You are more than your addiction. Try not to be so hard on yourself. If you can wait just 10 more minutes before you pick up a cigarette, that's an accomplishment. Think to yourself, 'hey I made it through 10 extra minutes and nothing bad happened'. Just go at your own pace. And I can't say it enough no mater how many times you slip DON"T GIVE UP :)

I was to begin cutting down yesterday - 2cigs less a day. Im ashamed to let you know that not only didnt that happen, but i smoked 1 more than i normally do. Hell i've tried quitting all at once several times and it didnt work. This time i thought i would quit gradually and the first day itself i failed. I wish i could be an EX too.

Ashok.. 1 minute at a time.. If you read some of my blogs you will see how I made it through the day.. Read Dr. Seuss' Oh, the places you'll go.. Sounds juvenile but believe me, it will make you feel brand new about your day..

Hello Ashok,

I see your pain and I think I have some articles in the Words of Wisdom group that might help change your streak of failed attempts. One called QuitTude and "Trying to Quit". There are many others but those 2 might really say something to you on what you need to change to change the results of your smoke freedom.

Stay positive and I would be glad to help support your smoke free journey. I have a multi-year quit and might be able to help. You can find me at some at these groups ...

HI Im Ashok. Ive tried quitting so many times, that it makes me weary just trying to think of quitting. I smoke about 25 a day. How have some of you quit. Pl help
