Hi All.. ttc for 9 months now, really hoping that quitting smoking will improve our chances, so glad that there are other girls out there feeling the same... Today is Day 1 foe me, i have a 3-4 day habit during the work week and more on the wkend especially if there is beer involved.. Please God we will all make it!

i'm on day 2 girls!!! i'm going to my friend's baby shower today, and will be VERY proud that i'm not the "one who smells like smoke", this is so exciting!

Hi, I first joined ex community because we were planning to have a baby in near future and I wanted to kick the habit before I get pregnant. However, it all went bit faster than we though and 2 weeks ago we found out I am pregnant. I stopped smoking 12 days ago. Gave all my cigarettes away and went cold turkey. I though I am doing it only for the baby, but now with every day that passes I am happier and happier that I quit. For myself too.

WOW! This is great to know that there are gals in my same shoes. I am 33 years old and planning to have a baby. Its Super hard. I know that it is possible. I have a 12 year old and I never smoked with her. The incredible nausea didnt allow me to smoke. I'm older and wiser, but ths horrible habbit. I'm going to see a hypnotherapist. I'll let you know how it goes.

i am actually not pregnant yet, just ttc. i have been smoking for almost 10 years now, which is hard for me to believe...i never thought it would get this out of control. i am a nurse (which makes smoking even more taboo), and a super type A personality (which means that i am annoyed at the fact that cigarettes control me and not the other way around). i chose my profile name, b/c it describes what smoking is for me...my punctuation to life!!! I smoke when i am happy, sad, angry, stressed, bored and everything else. i have recently cut way back ( to 4-10 cigarettes a day), but can't seem to give those final few up. my quit date is may first!!!!! any thoughts???

i'm gunna be 49 in 2 weeks & just found out i am 5 weeks pregnant! shocked! Floored! I have been smoking a pack of cig's a day for many yrs.. i have to stop now, no question! if i want to have a healthy baby at this age, I have to do this. i have 5 cigs left in my pack & still can't throw them out! i still can't believe this. any older moms here?

I quit when I became pregnant with my daughter two years ago. after she was born my husband picked up the nasty habit again and so did i. but we plan on conceiving again by the end of the year! and i was getting so sick of the butts and the prices!
